What the piece shows
Nine kilometres are enough: the Dent Blanche is an isolated pyramid, with no neighbour to steal the show. The frame holds the four ridges — the Wandfluegrat to the south, the normal route, the Viereselsgrat to the north-east, the Ferpècle ridge to the west. Around it, three glacier basins: Ferpècle, Grand Cornier to the north, Schönbiel to the east. About 1,800 m of wall between the glacier and the point. At this scale, the piece shows a stocky mass, not a spire.

Gifting
Gear can be replaced, a mountain cannot. The piece sits on a desk or hangs on the wall all year — adhesive pad, hook and magnet are in the box. Anyone who has been there recognises the ground they covered. For a trail runner, a skier, a climber, or for someone who simply grew up looking at this landscape: Valais — between the Val d'Hérens and the Val d'Anniviers.
