What the piece shows
The frame takes the Aegean coast to the east and climbs to Mytikas, 2,918 m. That is the strength of the piece: almost 2,900 m of difference over about twenty kilometres, with nothing in between. You see the Kazania cirque, Stefani just north of Mytikas and the Plateau of the Muses. Mytikas is a stack of narrow limestone towers: at 30 m resolution they melt into a single ridge.
